Site Council

The Branciforte Small Schools Campus Site Council is a group with representatives from all four schools (teaching staff, students, parents, community and school administration) that help make informed decisions for school and campus planning. The goal is to have better communication between staff, parents and students among AFE, Ark Independent Studies, Costanoa High and Monarch.  If you would be willing to take part in these meetings please feel free to contact Michelle (principal) or Peter (teacher).

The California Education Code requires the school site councils to:

  • Measure effectiveness of improvement strategies at the school.

  • Seek input from school advisory committees.

  • Reaffirm or revise school goals.

  • Revise improvement strategies and expenditures.

  • Recommend the approved single plan for student achievement (SPSA) to the governing board.

  • Monitor implementation of the SPSA.
